Ashland Expands its Line of Adjustable Door Hinges

New door hinge spotlights exceptional performance, ease of adjustment and premium appearance

Lowell, IN— Ashland Hardware Systems has unveiled an innovative new adjustable swing door hinge employed in wood, vinyl, aluminum, and steel doors.  Central to Ashland’s door hinge design is the innovative, patent-pending adjustment mechanism to achieve extremely low adjustment torque in both the vertical and horizontal direction.  The cycle test performance has also proven to surpass expectations for both industry standards and competitive offering.

In comparison with conventional adjustable hinges, the Ashland hinge uses a standard hex wrench for easy adjustment and positive engagement to avoid stripping, which is commonly experienced with Philips drives.   The hinge also delivers the flexibility to adjust 1/4” vertically and 3/16” horizontally.

The hinge conforms to existing door market demands by seamlessly retrofitting a 4” X 4” one-step pocket route with 5/8” corner radius.  In addition, the screw holes are located away from panel edges to prevent accidental wood splitting during hardware fabrication.

Contributing to the exceptional wear resistance and extended service life, the hinge incorporates two plastic bushings for superior operation and performance.  The bushings have also been color coordinated with every hinge finish offered for a premium appearance on the door.   Additionally, the hinge can be easily reversed for either left or right-handed hinge applications, and offers a non-removable pin (NRP) option for secure out-swing applications.

The hinges are available in steel, brass, and stainless steel substrates and first-class premium finishes to enhance the beauty of the swing door.  Finishes include Chrome, Satin Chrome, Antique Brass, Bright Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Satin Nickel, Brass PVD, Stainless Steel, and many industry standard powder paint colors (PVD recommended for coastal locations).  Matching mounting screws are available to blend perfectly with the hinge.
