Multi-Point
Lock Design Promotes Improved Performance with Optimum Flexibility
In
meeting customer requirements for simplified installation,
easy operation and durable performance, the Sentinel locking
system is specifically designed to provide "across-the-board"
flexibility. With an anti-back drive design, Sentinel prevents
unwanted tampering by potential intruders and boasts the highest
industry standards for forced entry and structural ratings.
Even under extreme misalignment of the strike and lock unit,
Ashland's unique clutch mechanism ensures full lock-up of
the system. In addition, the lock is engineered to deliver
a superior measure of corrosion resistance and offer a full
range of adjustments to promote simpler, trouble-free installation.
The lock accommodates a variety of door sizes and features
a safety button that prevents the locking unit from engaging
until the door is in the fully-closed position, thereby eliminating
the potential for consumers to damage either the frame or
lock.
Contemporary
Aesthetics Generate Added Consumer Appeal
Sentinel's
new trimsets and flush bolt provide a transitional look and
feel with soft eye-catching curves. The consumer-friendly
Inspirations trimset is ergonomically designed to deliver
a minimum of 90 degrees of thumb rotation to activate the
lock, while also providing users with a "positive" visual
indication that the lock is fully engaged.
Recognizing
that a locking system design for a passive door is dependent
upon the structure and visual requirements of the door, Sentinel
incorporates interchangeable trim covers for the manual flush
bolt. This maintains visual harmony throughout the entire
hardware system. The trim covers are available in all standard
finishes as well as solid brass and Ashland's PVD lifetime
finish. An anti-back drive prevents tampering with the lock
mechanism, while providing a one-inch bolt throw to ensure
optimum security and easy engagement.
Patio
Door Rollers Raise Expectations for Trouble-Free Service
The
Sentinel patio door rollers feature ball bearings engineered
to provide unusually smooth "gliding action" as well as quiet
performance. Additionally, by employing fewer moving parts
than traditional rollers, the Sentinel rollers offer substantially
greater durability for longer service life and trouble-free
performance. The tandem roller design increases weight capacity
to accommodate doors up to 400 pounds when two roller assemblies
are utilized. The Sentinel patio door roller design exceeds
AMA 906.3-87 Standards.
